Investing.com – Intercept reported third quarter earnings that missed analysts’ expectations on Tuesday and surpassed revenue forecasts.
The company reported earnings per share of $ -3.04 on revenues of $ 77.6 million. Analysts interviewed by Investing.com had expected EPS of $ -0.82 on revenue of $ 73.74 million.
Since the beginning of the year, Intercept shares have fallen 4%, above the performance which has fallen by 29% since the beginning of the year.
Intercept follows other healthcare companies that reported results this month.
On October 14, UnitedHealth announced third-quarter EPS of $ 5.79 on revenue of $ 80.9 billion, compared with an expected EPS of $ 5.43 on revenue of $ 80.52 billion.
J&J results exceeded consensus expectations on Oct. 18, with third-quarter EPS of $ 2.55 on revenue of $ 23.79 billion. Analysts interviewed by Investing.com had expected EPS of $ 2.52 on revenue of $ 23.46 billion
