Workshop master Michel Farrugia who, for years, had taught his art at the Sernhac’Art workshop died on March 24. Originally from Malta, he was born on December 10, 1938, a student of the School of Fine Arts in Angoulême and Sète, he was a member of the International Academy of Lutèce in Paris. He began his exhibitions in 1991 in Limoges then in La Grande-Motte, Cognac, Bastia, Marseille, Paris, Cannes, etc.
He had received many distinctions among others: the gold medal of the city of Cannes, the Grand Prize of the French arts region in the Mediterranean, etc. For many years, Michel had dispensed his art in several communes from Sétes to Sernhac. He was also a great Argentine tango dancer.
