Faced with the chains of messages spread on social networks, which seek to generate panic in relation to events that affect the integrity of children and adolescents in the city, the Cartagena Metropolitan Police Command reported the following:
– These rumors are unfounded. To date, no family has filed a complaint for incidents related to kidnapping or kidnapping of children and adolescents in the city.

– Faced with the case of the adolescent girl reported as missing, in the Playas de Acapulco sector of the El Líbano neighborhood, in a work coordinated by the Metropolitan Police, the Bolívar Police Department, the Family Police Station and the Family Welfare Institute, the adolescent was located in the municipality of Mahates; in this event, a voluntary evasion of the young woman was evidenced, whose motives are the subject of investigation

Likewise, the institution expressed that all institutional capacities have been deployed to guarantee the protection of the rights of children and adolescents, in coordination with the district authorities, the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare and the Family Police Station.
In the same way, the citizens were informed, that efforts will continue to find the adolescent Alexandrith Sarmiento Arroyo, reported by her parents as missing, who left in the company of a relative, on a motorcycle, between the townships of Bayunca and Punta Canoa.
