Disability, the number of deafblind and psychosensory disabled people assisted is increasing

MILANO – The Lega del Filo d’Oro Foundation presented the 2023 Social Report in Milan, to transparently recount the results achieved over the last year and indicate the main future objectives, in a growth path aimed at providing answers to more and more deafblind and psychosensory impaired people, together with their families.

A year of further development and growth. Characterized by the increase in users supported in all services, activities carried out and projects completed and started: this is the picture that emerges from the 2023 Social Report of the Lega del Filo d’Oro Foundation ETS – Philanthropic Body, presented yesterday at the University of Milan. The 2023 Budget therefore confirms the positive trend found in the last year, consolidating constant growth in all sectors of activity. In 2023 the League of the Golden Thread reached 1,230 users who benefited from one or more services in different modalities, guaranteeing them diagnostic, educational-rehabilitative and socio-educational interventions, with an increase of 9% compared to 2022 (and 31% compared to pre-pandemic numbers) , thus marking the highest number of users ever recorded.

Territorial expansion. The Foundation it also continues its path of territorial expansion, working on the creation of a Residential and Day Center in Lazio and two new Territorial Offices in Sardinia and Calabria. With the recent inauguration of the Territorial Headquarters in Abruzzo, today the League of the Golden Thread is present in 11 Italian regions, with its Residential Centres, Day Centres, Services and Territorial Offices.
