Integrated management of treatment paths for people with disabilitythe new challenges and critical issues of rehabilitation programs. The seminar “Disability and hospital-territory integration paths” scheduled for November 14th in the Carmine Romaniello auditorium of the nursing home will be dedicated to these topics. In the White City of Veroli.
This is a conference aimed at all healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and rehabilitation plans of patients with disabilities, such as surgeons, nurses and pediatric nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, neuroscience and developmental psychomotor therapists, professional educators and psychiatric rehabilitation technicians.
Of fundamental importance is the experience linked to the structure, adjacent to “Città Bianca”, “Villa Alba”, which offers services aimed at recovering the autonomy and independence of patients, specifically aimed at children and young people with neurological, psychomotor disorders and language.
Demonstrating the great sensitivity on the subject on the part of the regional institutional authorities, the councilor for social inclusion and personal services of the Lazio region, Massimiliano Maselli, confirmed his presence, and the highest management positions of the ASL of Frosinone and the Regional Health Commission. Present at the conference, among the specialists and professionals of the various branches involved, was the scientific director of the Ini Group, Professor Vittorio Donatowhich underlines the importance of an integrated and coordinated approach between accredited public and private structures for the rehabilitation of disabled patients with neurocognitive deficits.
«This is a crucial topic, which deserves particular attention – he underlines – The planned seminar, in fact, is a virtuous example of collaboration between the public sector and the accredited private sector and represents a model of synergy oriented towards the creation of a path optimal care. Some aspects of this rehabilitation process – he explains – are managed within the public system, in this case by the Frosinone hospital, while other phases are developed thanks to collaboration with an accredited private structure, such as the “Città Bianca” clinic in Veroli , specialized in specific treatments. In such a delicate context – underlines Professor Donato – as that of rehabilitation for people with complex needs, it is essential to be able to count on a path designed to meet their needs, guaranteeing continuity of care between the public hospital and the accredited private facility”.
The integrated care path represents, in fact, the fundamental strategic objective of social and healthcare systems dedicated to patients with disabilities. In this direction, it is necessary to consider the existence of a complex process of taking charge, which links the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation paths, in order to guarantee continuous health services between hospital facilities, local health companies and local rehabilitation centres. During the “Città Bianca” seminar, integrated care paths for disabilities for the entire lifespan will therefore be examined, highlighting the current critical issues and new challenges, in close connection with the guidelines and lines regional guide for rehabilitation.
