Disability and autonomy, technologies to support services for people: Lega-Coop courses

ROMA – On September 16, 17 and 18, the Summer School 2024?of Legacoopsociali dedicated to design and technology to support services for people with disabilities. The 3-day training course offers a path that aims to deepen and acquire knowledge, methods and tools made available by design and the potential of new technologies to imagine new projects and new working methods in services intended for people who need them, in particular semi-residential daytime and home services.

Who will be at the meeting. On September 16, in particular, a conference will be held on “Design and technology in services for disabilities”, where the president of Legacoop Liguria Mattia Rossi, the national president of Legacoopsociali Eleonora Vanni, the national president of Legacoop Simone Gamberini, the president of Fondazione Pico Piero Ingrosso will speak. Also present will be Lorenzo De Micheli, of the Rehab Technologies Lab IIT and Niccolò Casiddu, of the Design for All Italia Association.

The laboratory and the proposals. During the days, participants will be involved in a workshop led by teachers from the Department of Architecture and Design of the University of Genoa and, through work in design groups, will develop proposals and solutions to innovate semi-residential daytime and/or home services focused on the real needs of people. An integral part of the workshop will be the meeting and discussion with researchers from the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa who will accompany participants on a visit to the IIT headquarters and present some technologies and research projects of potential interest.
