Dirty Deal Teatro will take you on a digital tour of Riga and Bonn / Day

On the other side of the door is a work show (work in progress) online in Latvian and German, where an international team of artists from Latvia and Germany will look for what unites us in this changing time and long-distance relationship without the virus. The project will take place simultaneously in Riga and Bonn. In the first research phase of the project, the artists will go to the urban environment as nomads, observers, agents, freethinkers, they will encounter the environment, survive and provoke situations, and will reflect their journey live.

Artists in the urban environment will also be joined by authors Ivo Briedis and Lotārs Kitšteins (Lothar Kittstein), which, following the live video, will create texts in parallel, which will be both a reaction to what is seen, an instruction for further actions, and a completely unpredictable flow of words.

What’s going on out there, behind our locked doors? How have our lives in urban space changed over the last nine months? What is the climate between people? And how is the daily life of Riga different from Bonn or other parts of the world today? The whole world seems to be affected by this force, which affects everyone equally, but its impact on different areas of life is different.

As part of this show, the artists are looking for ways to continue the conversation with the audience, no matter where they are, in order to make the whole of Europe and, in the long run, the world the stage of the theater.

The creative team of the show consists of artists from Latvia and Germany – authors Ivo Briedis and Lothar Kitstein, artistic directors Frank Heuels (Frank Heuel) and Annika Leja Annika Ley, playwright Harald Redmer (Harald Redmer), Actor Jurģis Spulenieks and video artist Elīna Matvejeva will take to the streets of Riga, while Dāvids Fišers will help to travel to Bonn (David Fischer) and Georgs Lenarcs (Georg Lennarz).
