November 6 is the day, the latest installment of the Dirt franchise is on the shelves: and it’s called Dirt 5. At least, that’s the date for the current-gen version of the game. The rally game will also be released on the Xbox Series X and S on November 10th. And on November 19 it will be released for the PS5. Koos and JJ are ready for you to talk about this Off-Road racer! Is this dIt is racer you should pick up on the Next-Gen consoles? Or should you wait until Gran Tursimo 7 is out or play the old Forza Horizon 4 again? You can see and hear it in the Dirt 5 review.
Racing on sand, asphalt, ice and snow
Unlike other racing franchises, the Dirt franchises are focused on off-road racing. In other words, you exchange the normal racetrack for a track that is made up of earth, mud, rock, ice or snow. The races take you to beautiful areas such as Morocco, Brazil and China. The game also offers different weather conditions. If the game starts with a beautiful sun, you may end up in the dark while the rain is pouring down from the sky. In short, variation is an important part of Dirt 5. But apart from all these different surfaces, weather conditions and areas… what is the game like? How does it drive? is there enough challenge?
The racing game for next gen?
While Dirt 5 will of course also be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, many eyes are on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions of the game. For example, the game can go on 120 frames per second run on the Xbox Series X. You can also choose a better frame rate on the current gen. Does that matter? Is that a game changer? Something Dirt 5 dIt is game that you have to get if you want a racer on the current or the new consoles? Or is the competition with Forza Horizon 4 and WRC 9 still too strong? You can hear it in the Dirt 5 review.
