A few days ago appeared a trailer taken from the future Demo of DiRT 5. Lasting 14 minutes, it allows us to learn a lot about what will await us in the racing game. Codemasters.
What strikes you from the start is the flashy side of the colors. Very festive and all in fluorescence, the global aspect immediately brings to mind the Festivals of Forza Horizon. We also note that the quality of the graphics is excellent. The transition to 4K makes the series leap forward on this point.
Another big positive point that stands out: the speed of the game and its fluidity. When you know that the game will be able to rotate in 60 frames / second or even 120, that suggests exhilarating sensations and at all good on this technical aspect of the game.
We can also note the diversity of the landscapes present. We are made to travel in Asian settings or in a beautiful equatorial jungle. However, you must admit that we have a soft spot for the night race on an icy track with the aurora borealis in the background of the most beautiful effect.
The cars unveiled are well modeled and quite varied. We go from a Ford Escort RS Cosworth to a Subaru Impreza without forgetting more “exotic” cars such as the Ariel Nomad or the Jupiter Hawk 400. Each of the vehicles is accompanied by its characteristic engine noise. In short you will understand, we are waiting to be able to get our hands on this title to take part in frenzied races.
In the meantime, admire the trailer which takes the hype up a notch before the release still scheduled for October 2020.
