Adil El Arbi (33) and Bilall Fallah (35) have revealed the first details of their new movie ‘Batgirl’. They did that during the online event DC Fandome.

In a panel discussion with the Belgian directing duo, lead actress Leslie Grace and screenwriter Christina Hodson (Birds of prey) they talk about choosing Leslie, among other things. “We wanted to keep the casting broad, in terms of age and people. We really wanted the best actress. When we saw Leslie, it was a goosebumps moment,” they say.

Hodson revealed that Barbara Gordon will discover her alias as Batgirl for the first time. The film is in pre-production, meanwhile Grace is doing her best to train. “We really want to make the fights as realistic as possible,” say El Arbi and Fallah. And of course she will have red hair. Earlier, the two already mentioned that Batman will also be featured in the film. Although they are still undecided which one that will be.
