Director Vitalijs Manskis invited to become a member of the US Academy of Motion Picture and Art Sciences / Article / LSM.lv

On June 30, in Los Angeles, the US Academy of Film and Art Sciences announced the admission of new members. The Academy has invited 819 representatives of the film industry to join the organization, who have stood out with their contribution to film production. Among them is also the documentary film director Vitalijs Manskis, who lives and works in Latvia, the media were informed by the representatives of the festival “Artdocfest / Riga”. –

In a letter sent to the new members, David Rubin, President of the Academy, writes: “The Academy is pleased to welcome eminent figures in the arts and sciences. We always strive to invite people with extraordinary talent that reflects the rich diversity of our global film community. ”

The American Academy of Cinematography and Science is a global organization with more than 9,000 members – talented and bright members of the film industry.

Vitaly Manski is the director of more than 30 documentaries, and his films have won awards at more than 100 international festivals. Manski is also the president of the International Documentary Film Festival “Artdocfest / Riga”, which will take place in Riga at the end of November this year.
