Director Tetsuya Nomura Shares Final Fantasy VII Remake Development Updates and Teases Important Addition for Part Three

(PressFire.no): It is in the book “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Ultimatia”, an official guide/book that contains unused art, interviews with developers and other snacks, that director Tetsuya Nomura shares a little about what has happened – and is happening – with the development of the three-part “Final Fantasy VII” remake.

There he says that the main part of the story for the third part has already been written – and that he thinks recording of the voices will start soon.

Twitter user @aitaikimochi has translated parts of the book from Japanese and sharing it on Twitter.

The actual development of “Rebirth” should have taken only three years, starting after the development of the DLC package until the “Remake” (which took a year) was finished.

Part of the reason why the development of “Rebirth” went so well must have been because Square-Enix was able to keep the people who made “Remake” – and the plan is that they will also work together on part three.

He also says that Yoshinori Kitase, who was the director of the original “Final Fantasy VII”, has come to him with an idea about “something” that is very important to include in the third part of the remake party.

Exactly what this is, he won’t say anything about, other than that this is something that wasn’t in the original game – and that he’s working out how they’re going to solve it. But he says at the same time that this is something that will make people happy if they get it right.
