Director SS Rajamouli appreciated the movie Jawaan. Rajamouli said through Twitter that the film has got a great start and that’s why Shahrukh Khan is called the Baadshah of the box office. Rajamouli took to Twitter to congratulate Atlee for repeating the win in the North and congratulated the Jawan team for the win.
In response to Rajamouli, Shahrukh wrote on Twitter, “Thank you for the appreciation and we are all learning from your creative inputs for the film.” Shahrukh added on Twitter that he should watch the movie when he has time and after watching it, let me know if he can become a mass hero too.
129 crores at the global box office including 75 crores from India on the first day. Reports suggest that 65 crores of this is from the Hindi version and 10 crores from the Tamil Telugu versions. Jaawan has the fourth biggest opening after RRR, Baahubali 2 and KGF 2. Jaawan has now surpassed Shahrukh’s record of Rs 57 crore set by his previous film Pathan. Along with this, Jaawan also held the record of being the highest first day collection Bollywood film in Kerala. The film was distributed in Kerala and Tamil Nadu by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sri Gokulam Movies. The film is getting good response from the Hindi audience.
Vijay Sethupathi plays the villainous role of Kali in the film where Nayanthara is the heroine. The film is produced by Gauri Khan under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment. Deepika Padukone also makes a special appearance in Jaawan. This is also Shahrukh and Deepika’s first film after Pathan. Priyamani, Sania Malhotra, Yogi Babu and Sunil Grover are the other actors in the film. The film was dubbed and released in Tamil and Telugu in addition to Hindi.
