Thiruvananthapuram: Film director Shanavas Naranipuzha has passed away. He died at a private hospital in Kochi at night. He was in critical condition following a heart attack.
He was treated at a private hospital in Coimbatore for a heart attack and was brought to Kochi for specialist treatment but could not save his life. He is a native of Malappuram. The hospital officials said that the health condition deteriorated again due to another heart attack on the way to Kochi.
Shanavas had a heart attack the other day. He was later admitted to KG Hospital in Coimbatore by friends. His condition worsened this morning while continuing treatment on a ventilator. Then it was decided to bring him to Kochi.
Shanavas is the director and screenwriter of the film Sufi and Sujatha. Shanavas suffered a heart attack while writing a new film. Shanavas’ first film was Kari which was released in 2015.
