Job Description
You will lead a dedicated $1.5B+ sub-portfolio as part of CDPQ’s Real Estate Asset Management team, directing strategy, dispositions & operations of institutional assets through a variety of investment vehicles. As a key member of this team, you will drive performance and decisions of a portfolio of assets and lead a high-performing team while managing relationships with key stakeholders. This role demands exceptional financial acumen, investment expertise, and proven ability to guide complex real estate portfolios across office, residential, and industrial sectors.
What you will do
- Author, evolve and execute on each asset’s business plan; coordinate with investment and operating partners and participate in meetings with internal teams as well third-party consultants, brokers, and marketing agencies, in furtherance of each asset’s business plan;
- Oversee the analysis of a portfolio of assets, including creating and maintaining pro formas, tracking significant asset events, reviewing valuations and cash flow projections, completing cash management analysis, and organizing historic and future capital flows as well as hold/sell analyses;
- Partner with Real Estate transactions team on disposition and new investments in portfolio;
- Anticipate potential risks that could have significant consequences for the portfolio or CDPQ;
- Work with operating partners and brokers to analyze and negotiate new leases;
- Build and compile market intelligence – through third-party data providers and communication with local brokers and partners;
- Manage annual budgeting and reforecasting in coordination with portfolio management and construction teams;
- Direct capital markets activities including refinancing, loan modification and disposition activities;
- Analyze and manage tracking of various ongoing capital projects in coordination with operating partner, internal development and ESG teams;
- Manage and mentor a matrixed team of analyst and associates;
- Ensure that the firm’s properties are well positioned in this evolving market and responding proactively to the changes.

What you bring
- Eight (8) years or more of experience in an analytically rigorous Real Estate role, and / or asset management experience in Office, Residential and/or Industrial;
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the drivers of real estate performance, including asset positioning within the market, leasing, physical improvements, marketing, working with brokers and operating partners;
- Effective written and oral communication skills;
- Proficient in Excel, financial modeling and ARGUS Enterprise.
