Director of PT Kosme Responds to Allegations of Illegal MS Glow Factory

Surabaya

In an uproar on social media, the factory building of PT Kosmetika Global Printing and Packaging (Kosmepack) which stands in Sukorejo, Pasuruan, is said to have been built without building approval (PBG). The director of PT Kosme denied the allegations.

Kosmepack itself is a business unit of the Kosme Group which is engaged in printing and packaging. The company owned by Juragan 99 produces packaging and prints and carries out product development and product quality on an ongoing basis.

The status of the factory went viral on Twitter on Tuesday (15/3/2022). Responding to the adverse accusations, Titis Indah Wahyu as Director of PT Kosmetika Global Indonesia (KGI), spoke up.

“So if the factory is fake, it’s actually PT Kosmetika Global Indonesia, I am the Director. This means that PT Kosme group has many lines of business. Apart from KGI there is also Kosmepack, which is engaged in printing and packaging,” said Titis when met by Wolipop (26 /3/2022).

Danang Dwi Yuanto as CEO of J99 Corp added the status of the Kosmepack factory during the process of purchasing and building permits, in the deed and data on land status it was written that there was already a warehouse on the land.

“When we made the purchase, the deed stated that the land certificate with the warehouse building was there. Then we carried out the purchase process,” said Danang.

Danang said that when PT Kosme applied for the permit process to the local government, it encountered problems. “When we entered the licensing process, in the deed we submitted to the local government, it turned out that the status was still green land. We were hampered there because there was a difference in the statement in the BPN deed with the land status of the Pasuruan city permit at that time,” said Danang.

“What happened in the end, we stopped the production process because it was still a trial, we were still installing machines and so on,” added Danang.

Titis said that trying to print a printing machine still requires a lot of raw materials. “It’s impossible for us to use a kilo or two kilos of material because the engine has a capacity for one day of around 50,000. If a trial of one or two kilos is not possible. We will trial it for one-tenth of the capacity,” he said.

PT Kosmepack is in the process of changing the land status from green to red. Green land for agriculture and red for industry.

“Well, in the end, it was misinterpreted as a fake factory and so on. Then it was further associated with MS Glow products. That’s what we all have to understand is that Kosme Group, we have many divisions,” explained Danang.

Titis added that MS Glow consumers were not affected by the allegations that went viral on Twitter. Moreover, all MS Glow products have obtained permission from BPOM.

“If it is true for the product notification process, it is impossible for BPOM to issue a notification number that our factory is illegal. Customers themselves also feel it is impossible for our factory to be fraudulent. Because our notification is out, if it doesn’t come out it means the product is illegal,” continued Titis again.
