Description of the company/organization
The MC2: Maison de la Culture de Grenoble is a public establishment for cultural cooperation – labeled Scène nationale – directed by Arnaud Meunier since January 2021. Focused on international openness and ™artistic excellence, its project is driven by production, innovation and inclusion, and presents more than 80 shows capable of showing the best of current creation in all disciplinary fields. MC2 produces and supports productions for which it manages the tours. She also organizes tours in Isère and gets closer to local residents as part of her “MC2 comes to you” initiative. A major player in the Metropolis and emblematic place of decentralization, the MC2 employs around sixty permanent staff, hosts the National Choreographic Center of Grenoble and has a surface area of 22,000 m2 including the following stage equipment:
o L’Auditorium of 998 seats
o The Georges Lavaudant room, large theater with 1030 seats
o The René Rizzardo room, a modular room of 875 m² with configurations of 500 seats in tiers or 1,300 standing places
o The Little Theater with 244 seats
o Two dance studios
o A rehearsal room
o A recording studio.
The structure is, on the main site, made up of two establishments: one of the first category of type L and the second of second category of type L and N. In addition, it operates a decor workshop (450m²) and storage premises (1000m²) on other sites.
The technical center brings together 23 people, including 7 managers, within the stage, decor, building, reception and information systems departments.
Job Description
Placed under the authority of the Technical Director and member of the Management Committee, you ensure a strategic management role in the operation and transformation of the buildings and technical installations of the company. MC2 in a strong context of environmental transition and adaptation of the Institution to new uses (third places, reopening of a restaurant, development of space rentals, etc.).
o Design and operation carried out by the project owner MC2,
o Supervision of maintenance and regulatory verifications of technical installations,
o Energy and fluid management, management of energy efficiency and environmental transition,
o Management of building operating services: security, safety, cleaning and small works,
As such you
o Support the technical director in the relationship with the owner Metropolis and the development of maintenance, transformation and investment/multi-year work plans, and take charge of the design of markets and the conduct of entrusted operations,
o Define subcontracting and service needs, develop the technical and financial documents for calls for tender and set up contracts and associated reporting,
o Actively contribute to the reflections and implementation of actions to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and reduce the carbon impact of MC2 activities both in uses and through investments and works,
o Develop budgets, optimize operating costs and seek productivity gains,
o Manage and lead the teams in this department (2 employees in the building department, 3 in reception, 2 in IS), guaranteeing in particular the quality and continuity of activities, as well as the development of their skills,
o Support the technical director in the management of risk prevention: fire safety, security, accessibility, health hygiene and working conditions of employees,
o Be proactive in optimizing processes and organizing the establishment’s resources,
o Contribute to the quality of relationships with hosted entities and businesses and to improving their satisfaction.
Description of the profile sought
o Bac+5 level diploma in building, real estate, energy or environmental engineering,
o You have acquired general technical knowledge: ERP regulations, Labor Code, Tertiary Decree, MOP Law and project management, building and construction trades maintenance,
o You have significant experience in the management of ERP buildings, the management of their installations, their operating rhythms and constraints, their maintenance needs and regulatory verifications,
o You have experience of conducting operations and developing contracts in the context of public procurement,
o You want to support MC2 in its objective of energy sobriety and environmental transition, and to bring your expertise to structure the service and support the implementation of the project of management,
o You must master IT tools – office automation and CAD (Autocad/ZW cad) – and have a good understanding of infrastructures and networks,
o You are organized, rigorous, responsive, capable of handling complex situations.
You enjoy working in a team and have real listening skills while being able to make yourself heard.
o You have solid knowledge of English: you can read, write, communicate orally (understanding technical documentation, writing emails, welcoming companies and visitors on site).
o You are ideally trained in SSIAP1.
o You hold the B license if possible.

o Work in the evenings and weekends, 1 evening/week on average outside school holidays as part of the on-call hours of technical managers during representations and other openings to the public
