“I have no idea, but it would be strange if I didn’t hope for the prize, but it doesn’t give me any extra excitement,” Fien Troch told before the premiere today in “De Morgen” on Radio 1. “Being nominated in Venice makes my whole year good. I especially hear a lot of good things about the film by the Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, “Poor things”, but I haven’t seen it myself. No idea what decision will be made in the jury room.”
In any case, Troch has fond memories of the Venice Film Festival. For her previous film “Home” she received the director’s prize at the festival, and was allowed to be part of the jury for the “Orizzonti” section the following year.
