Director Doctor Sleep releases new Stephen King film adaptation | NOW

Mike Flanagan, who was Stephen Kings last year Doctor Sleep filmed, takes on another book by the famous horror writer. It’s about Revival, the horror story that appeared in 2014. That reports Variety Saturday.

In Revival eight-year-old Jamie is impressed by the local pastor Charles, who can cure people through a mysterious invention. Years later, the two meet again. Charles has improved his secretive techniques and still practices people. Jamie, who is now a drug addict, sees such a cure, but cannot see the consequences.

Flanagan came with last year Doctor Sleep, The sequel to The Shining. In addition, he has success on Netflix with the horror series The Haunting of Hill House, of which two seasons have now appeared. The filmmaker writes the script of Revival and is considered as a director. The cast or a release date has not yet been announced.

Stephen King’s books are being filmed more often. Mostly It, which appeared in two parts, recently performed well in the cinema. The first part, released in 2017, is the highest-grossing horror film ever.
