Boyle (“Trainspotting”) was originally supposed to direct the 25th Bond film, which hit theaters last year as “No Time to Die.” However, Boyle stepped down early due to creative differences and was replaced by US director Cary Joji Fukunaga (45).
“Screenwriter John Hodges and I had a great plan,” Boyle said of his Bond project. “But it became clear that the producers had lost faith in what we were going to do. And with a project this big, the best thing to do is just go our separate ways. If you move forward, things will only get worse.” So the sensible thing to do was break up.”
