Coach Yoon Jeong-hwan, who left great achievements while playing for Yugong and Bucheon SK, the predecessors of Jeju United, has been nominated as the manager of Gangwon FC in professional football.
Gangwon FC announced on the 15th that they had parted ways with coach Choi Yong-soo and appointed coach Yoon Jeong-hwan as the new manager.
Director Yoon made his professional debut in 1995 with the Yugong Football Team, the predecessor of Jeju. He played for Yugong and Bucheon SK, leading the team in its heyday and being called the best technician in the K-League. Afterwards, he moved to the J-League and performed well.
After retirement, starting with Sagandos, he served as Ulsan Hyundai, Cerezo Osaka, Muangtong United, and Jeff United coaches, and continued his K-League ambassador activities this season.
Director Yoon, who is considered a legend of the Jeju club, showed special affection for Jeju by holding an autograph session for Jeju fans in the home opening game against Suwon FC on February 26th.
Coach Yoon is scheduled to lead Gangwon from the match against Suwon FC on the 25th.
