The Iraqi director, Azzam Saleh, called for the unification of film festivals for short films. Demanding the establishment of a film association that Iraqi filmmakers can benefit from in the future.
“I hope to unify film festivals for short films in Iraq, because they are constantly repeated, because almost the same films are in the process of competition,” said Saleh, who is one of the well-known directors in Iraq in the field of television drama.
He added, “It is enough to attend a festival instead of wasting time, and thus the production cost decreases, and some people can get the benefit and unify the cinematic discourse, which is a stage for establishing a cinematic association that can benefit Iraqi filmmakers in the future more than others, just as it is possible that each of the festivals that are held will produce Continuing at least a short film and unifying the awards ».
