Job summary
As Global Alliance Director, you are responsible for overseeing and coordinating existing relationships among global Equinix Alliance Partners and identifying, acquiring and growing new potential targeted Alliance Partners in collaboration with development teams Equinix corporate. Additional responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to Regional Alliance directors in all aspects of their work, ownership of Alliance partner performance and delivery of key measures of success, and coordinating cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing , technical, operations) needed to support the efforts of the Alliance Partner Program .
Reporting to the Global Chief Executive Officer & Vice President – Oracle Strategic Alliance, this role requires a strong balance of business development, program design, program oversight, cross-regional coordination, people leadership skills, and performance measurement. The person in this role should be able to work collaboratively with several adjacent teams across Equinix (Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Marketing, Solution Architects, Business Development, Sales Operations) and collaboratively with program team members partner in the field to perform measurable measures key success factors with the partner (pipeline and bookings through the program), with our direct sales organization and with selective reseller partners. The position calls for a detail-oriented self-starter with an analytical approach towards growing our important alliance with Oracle.
The right candidate will possess a combination of strong partner program management experience, an understanding of business development, financial contribution models and ROI calculations. Understanding IT services and changing cloud consumption patterns (networking, cloud services and hybrid cloud solutions) are key knowledge areas.
Responsibility

Translate the common capabilities of Platform Equinix into a high-value joint solution for Equinix sales to iterate and scale the GTM engine. Helps clearly articulate key drivers and value points for Alliance Partners to promote Equinix services

Serves as liaison between Equinix and Oracle’s strategic alliance, product management, and marketing and sales teams, including executive engagement

Execute Alliance goals for Equinix as established by Platform Alliance and regional management, including dues retirement

Provide and support enablement of Equinix and Oracle sales and channel team members

Assist as needed in the development of supporting materials required for the programs

Adhere to and support various program guidelines, rules, and measures

Enhance the reputation of the Oracle Strategic Alliances team by pursuing thought leadership/technical expertise; pursuit of relevant accreditations and certifications is encouraged but not required
Qualifications
-
Over 10 years of experience with over 5 years of partner, sales, marketing, business development experience. Technology experience, team leadership experience a plus. 3+ years of channel program management and leadership experience with responsibility for revenue targets

A working knowledge of network technologies and cloud environments is required.

Solid understanding of IT infrastructure from the physical level to the operating system level

Ability to design and present business plans, track and articulate program progress, design and document program guidelines for distribution throughout the organization, especially at the executive level and for external use

Ability to translate technology capabilities into business benefits for Equinix and the alliance partner

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Proficient in MS Office products and knowledge of Salesforce.com strongly preferred.

For New York residents: According to New York Pay Transparency ActThe salary range for this role is $264,000 – $474,000 annually.
