Books – Ahmad Jumaa:
Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, discussed the evaluation of the medical services provided to people infected with Coronavirus in private hospitals, as she instructed to adhere to the controls set by the state in the services provided in these hospitals.
Zayed pointed out that the Ministry of Health is meeting the needs of these hospitals of medicines within the updated treatment protocol for the emerging corona virus, and all necessary preventive supplies, in order to pay attention to public health and in a way that serves the benefit of the Egyptian patient.
This came during the meeting held by the Minister of Health and Population, today, Tuesday, with Dr. Alaa Abdul-Majeed, Chairman of the Chamber of Health Service Providers in the Private Sector and a number of representatives of major private sector hospitals, at the Ministry of Health and Population’s General Office, to discuss the mechanism of work of these hospitals during the Coronavirus (Covid_19) pandemic. And discussion of updated treatment protocols according to WHO standards.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Public Health Initiatives, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Supervision and Follow-up Affairs and Head of the Public Health Care Authority with Comprehensive Health Insurance, Dr. Hussam Hosni, Head of the Scientific Committee to Combat the New Corona Virus, and Dr. Mustafa Ghanima, Head of the Therapeutic Medicine Sector Dr. Mohsen Taha, Head of the Central Department of Clinical Medicine, Dr. Muhammad Fawzi Al-Souda, Head of the Hospitals and Educational Institutes Authority, Dr. Nihal Al-Shaer, Head of the Central Administration for Free Therapy and Licenses, and a number of private hospital councils heads
During the meeting, the minister confirmed that private sector hospitals are a primary partner with the Ministry of Health and Population in providing medical services to those infected with the Coronavirus, stressing the importance of uniting all the efforts of the state with private sector hospitals to confront the emerging Corona virus, and also thanked all medical staff and workers in all hospitals for their efforts. Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson of the ministry, explained that during the meeting, the exchange of experiences of the Ministry of Health and Population regarding the updated treatment protocols for the emerging corona virus was discussed and transferred to these hospitals, as the Minister directed a contract of “scientific information” to all medical teams headed by Dr. Hossam Hosni. To present and discuss the updated treatment protocol in its fourth version.
For their part, representatives of private sector hospitals affirmed their full and continuous commitment to cooperate with the Ministry of Health and Population in the exchange of experiences regarding treatment protocols updated for the emerging corona virus, as the private health sector is an essential partner with the state in providing health services to all patients, stressing that more effort will be made in coordination. Continuing with the Ministry to ensure that Egyptian citizens receive decent medical service.
