Directing fifth Indiana Jones film no longer in the hands of Steven Spielberg | NOW

After directing the first four parts of Indiana Jones, Steven Spielberg does not take control of the fifth part. The direction of the film is probably in the hands of James Mangold, reports Variety Wednesday.

The 73-year-old Spielberg still remains in the background of the production. Mangold, also known from the film Walk the Line, is talking about taking over Spielberg’s work.

Already in 2016 film studio Disney announced that there is a new one Indiana Jones would come. The recordings start in the summer. When the film can be seen is not yet known.

The first three Indiana Jonesfilms appeared in the 1980s. The fourth volume was published in 2008, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

For Harrison Ford (77), it will be the fifth time he has taken on the role of the famous adventurer Indiana Jones.

Spielberg directed dozens of films, including well-known titles such as Jaws, E.T. and Jurassic Park.
