The Hanson Robotics company contacted the Monterrey woman last August and held a photo session in New York, where they dressed Sophia, which chose the clothes she wore.
“She likes the exotic, she was super happy commenting that she was ready for the photo session. Everything she used was mine, it was exotic and extravagant, there were other garments that were simple designs and she did not choose them,” he said.
The fashion designer commented that it was a rewarding and different experience, because she was used to wearing human models.
“It is more rigid to put a garment Sophia than a human who can move, but it was a very beautiful and different experience, “Burguette said from New York.
The Monterrey is the only Mexican designer who has dressed Sophia and assured that he is in talks to carry out more projects alongside the robot. He stressed that participating in this international opportunity opened the doors to develop in other experiences.
In 2019, she was a finalist in the Rising Star Award fashion contest and that same year she won the Golden Award Avant-garde, an online competition.
Although she has been in New York for 11 years, the Mexican is preparing a collection of kimonos in collaboration with her countrywoman Paola Celada, who is a painter and will unite talents for next January 2021.
Finally, the haute couture designer assured that she wants to enter the world of Hollywood movies to make the costumes in fantasy and science films.
