Diplomats congratulate the Pakistani nation on Independence Day

On behalf of the government and people of the United States of America, US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Bloom congratulated the Pakistani nation and wished them a happy 75th Independence Day.

In a statement released on the State Department’s website, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said, “On behalf of the United States of America, I send my warmest congratulations to the people of Pakistan as they celebrate their seventy-fifth anniversary of Independence.”

He added, “In addition to 75 years of independence, this year also marks 75 years of diplomatic relations between the United States and Pakistan.”

“We work closely together across many sectors, from the tens of thousands of Pakistani exchange students who came to the United States to the 77 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine we have pledged to Pakistan through COVAX,” Blinken said. “The US remains the largest export destination for Pakistan and I am confident that our relationship will continue to grow. As we celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, let us resolve to renew and strengthen our partnership for the next 75 years and beyond.”

The Minister concluded her speech with the words: “We congratulate you on this important achievement and wish you a happy Independence Day!”
