“I assume that they will choose Mrs. Atanasova. She is cut stone. Perhaps compromise figures that are liked by both sides will be sought. The beginning of the year showed how the vote will be next – we anger our voters, but in the end we will mobilize them to go out and vote”, commented the political scientist Vasil Garnizov.
“Tthis government is a marriage of convenience and voted with disgust. It is a forced geopolitical government and it depends on when and how the war in Ukraine will end”, Raychev emphasized. “This government is solving a very difficult and complex issue – how to be loyal to NATO but act like it’s not so we can be together with our people. Bulgarians do not see this war as the world sees it”he explained.
According to Garnizov, individuals matter. “When Tagarev was approved as Minister of Defense, I stopped being interested in other topics. He was attacked by other politicians, outside the coalition”.
He gave advice to those in power: “You are looking for authorities, and they remained a little in Bulgaria. To try to find such figures who will not anger their own people”.

If they keep their seats, I don’t see any significant changes in the rotation, because that’s where the real power is,” explained the political scientist.

“We applaud the heroism of Ukrainians who defend their homeland with their bodies. Is there a chance to win? The war will not end this year or the next. There is no military solution to the conflict. The meat grinder is working on one side, on the other side there are some decent people”, Garnizov turned to Andrey Raichev, who agreed that the Russians had made a huge mistake, which they will now pay for.
