Diosdado Cabello, first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), affirmed that the actions undertaken by the Executive against the corrupt “will strengthen them even more.”
“From here we come out stronger, more united and more willing to face all the battles that we must face,” he said during a march against corruption called by the ruling party on Saturday March 25 in Caracas.
Under the motto “the honest ones are more”, the ruling party leader assured that “corruption is not a revolutionary value”.
That same Saturday, the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported at a press conference that those detained for acts of corruption will be charged with the crimes of appropriation of public assets, validation of relations of influence, money laundering and criminal association. While government officials linked to this plot will be added treason.
