Dior indefinitely postpones collaboration with Travis Scott

Travis Scott’s collaboration with the famed Dior brand has been indefinitely postponed out of respect for those affected by the tragedy at the Astroworld concert in November that left 10 dead and many others injured in the crowd.

The collection Cactus Jack x Dior It was presented in June of this year and was destined to be part of Dior’s summer 2022 collection.

Artistic director Kim Jones had worked with Travis to channel his Houston education into the design of the collection. The collection pieces were configured to feature graphics, logos, typography and embroidery inspired by Travis’ popular Cactus Jack tour merchandise.

This isn’t the first time a brand has canceled its collaboration with Travis since the Astroworld concert tragedy that led to multiple deaths. In November, Nike announced that the Travis Scott x Air Max 1 collaboration would be delayed and the rapper’s W magazine cover with Kylie Jenner was pulled at the last minute.

In an interview with Charlamagne tha God, Travis claimed that he did not hear the screams of fans for help during the concert. Festival organizers and performers are currently facing multiple lawsuits, and the United States Congress has also begun investigating the tragedy at Astroworld.
