On the eve of the Resurrection of Christ, the following message appeared in all major media: On Great Saturday, today in the Patriarchal Cathedral “St. Alexander Nevsky” the icon “Holy Mother of God – All-Tsaritsa” from the Holy Mountain was welcomed.

The icon was consecrated in the “Vatoped” monastery of Svetogorsk, where its original miraculous image is kept. The miraculous Svetogorsk icon helps cancer patients who come to it with faith.

The holy icon will remain in the Patriarchal Cathedral until May 2 – until the second day of the Resurrection of Christ. After the festive liturgy on May 2, the icon will be solemnly transferred to the Gygin Monastery of Saints Cosmas and Damian, where it will forever be an object of holy worship.

“We brought the copy of the miraculous icon because we know that the icon of the Mother of God the All-Empress helps with oncological diseases, so we brought it so that it can help all those who suffer from such a disease,” Jerome told the official website of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church . Nicanor. He added that the idea of ​​welcoming this icon did not come from yesterday, but due to the coincidence of circumstances, the welcoming was postponed. “The icon is a gift not only to the Chernogorsk monastery, but also to the entire Bulgarian Orthodox Church, an inseparable part of which is the monastery of St. St. Cosmas and Damian,” Hieromus Nicanor also said.

Due to the incompetence of a large part of the journalists and the superstition of the public, the rumor about an icon that cures cancer spread like lightning and a kilometer-long queue formed in front of “St. Alexander Nevsky”. It was constant from Holy Saturday to Bright Monday. This in itself was a real temptation for the greater part of those waiting, because their attention was directed to the icon and not to the Resurrection liturgies.

Dionysius even took the liberty of interrupting the Holy Saturday service to promote this business project. Why do I call it that? For it is a copy of an icon from the Holy Mountain, which was very recently commissioned by Nicanor and painted in Thessalonica. The copy of this icon did not perform any miracle, and this must be said quite clearly. Nicanor claims to have blessed the copy of the icon in the Vatopedi monastery on Athos, but this is not enough to declare it miraculous. He could just as well have bought a work from the dozens of artists who sell icons on the rue Paris, which is next to the Holy Synod building, consecrated it on Mount Athos, and let the gullible declare it miraculous.

As a matter of fact, Nicanor chooses his words very carefully and manipulates the audience, which is also evident from the quote above. He says that andthe horse was consecrated in the “Vatoped” monastery of Svetogorsk, where its original miraculous image is kept. And adds immediately: The miraculous Svetogorsk icon helps cancer patients who come to it with faith. From a formal point of view, Nicanor is not lying, but in fact he is implying that the icon he brought is also miraculous. At the same time, it shows real commercial acumen and makes an offer to a specific target group, namely people suffering from cancer.

The sentence which he adds at the end is remarkable, namely, that she helps those who come to her in faith. A thin loophole for escape, which is a favorite trick of professional sorcerers, magicians and occult fraudsters who prey on the broken souls of Bulgarians. Who can say to himself that his faith is true or sufficient. And what normal person, even in a trial, would not internally doubt themselves first, and then everything else.

Nicanor has thought of this as well, insuring his fraud against the weakness of the people he deceives. “You don’t have faith (enough, real or simply available) so the miraculous icon does not work. But the main thing Nicanor thought about was money. There is a donation box next to the icon, and everyone who passed by during these three days worshiped before it , and I saw it with my own eyes, he was dropping an amount he estimated. No one can say how much money was collected, because people were dropping from two to solev notes. According to the monks I talked to, the amount that could be collected in a day from such pilgrimage can exceed 10 thousand BGN.

After its debut in the patriarchal cathedral, the icon was taken to the box for collecting donations in the Gygin monastery, and the queues in front of it do not stop to this day. Let me emphasize again that this icon is not miraculous, it is a copy of an icon from Mount Athos and is in no way different from the hundreds of thousands of images throughout Bulgaria. I believe in the miracle-working of holy images in which the grace of God is manifested, and I say this because the abuse of people’s credulity or misfortune is pure deception.

Notice how well thought out the plot I am describing is. Nicanor orders a copy of a miraculous icon, then agrees with Dionysius to advertise it first in the most famous Bulgarian temple during Holy Week and Resurrection, when all the TV cameras are there from morning to night, relying on the natural interest of the media, then spreads the rumor that the icon cures cancer, they put a coffer with Dionysius in the middle of “St. Alexander Nevsky” and the money starts to come like a spring river full of water. After the advertising tour in Sofia, Nikanor placed the image in the Gigina Monastery and secured (thanks to the legend he invented) a decent daily income for dozens of years to come.

This is a completely market approach, which is implemented quite coolly and smartly at that. The words Nicanor uses are subtly chosen to mislead, but not to expose him directly. Dionysius in this case is only a partner who shares half of the income for advertising the icon in the patriarchal cathedral. Any businessman would envy such an easy profit and no investment and advertising costs. If Nicanor was selling a healing cream, he would have spent hundreds of thousands of BGN for fifteen-minute clips on the three largest television stations alone. Thanks to Dionysius, he secured a steady market for the “miraculous” thing he invented, which in this context is even a sin to call an icon. In this respect Nicanor is a true master.

Some time ago, he managed to make the whole of Bulgaria believe that he was a broker from Wall Street who had left the big world of business. The truth is that Nicanor, whose real name is Hristo Mishkov, has not been to America, nor has he smelled Wall Street. Ironically, Dionysius’ secular surname is Mishev.

He was an ordinary broker in the Karol investment company and worked in Sofia. The company’s page also has the following information: “Investment intermediary Karol provides online trading opportunities both on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) and access to over 100 financial markets from different parts of the world.” Nicanor may have bought and sold stocks on the Internet on Wall Street, but he certainly wasn’t a Wall Street broker, much less a Gordan Gekko, although everything about him looks like a movie. I know this from his spiritual elder, who allowed me to quote him. I do not refer to evil-doers and gossips.

Nicanor built an entire mythology around his name without any of it being true. If you write his name on the Internet, you will be left with the impression that a saint walks among us – he abandoned big business on Wall Street to devote himself to monastic life in the village of Gigintsi. Too good to be true. However, the truth is quite different. Mishkov did not realize either his American or monastic dream, if he had one at all. He spends most of his time in Sofia and pops over to the monastery from time to time. He does not know how to serve well and does not do it. As of Monday, he is acting abbot of the monastery, and before that he managed to rob the forests and properties of people around him by fraud under the pretext of returning the property to the holy monastery.

According to clerics I spoke with, the monastery of “St. Cosmas and Damian” had 500 decares of land, which was inherited from Turkish times until now. After Nicanor sets about her return, the estates turn out to be 6,000 acres in size, mostly forested. For a moment, investigators from the Ministry of Internal Affairs are on his trail, and he thinks about fleeing abroad, after which things suddenly calm down, and today he is a feudal lord of a huge estate in which there are no monks, nor is there a prayer or spiritual life.

The monastery was turned by Nicanor into a manufactory for printing money, and his inventions with the copy of the icon from the Holy Mountain were only a side business. By the way, this is a scheme that is applied in many properties of the church, but it is worth writing a whole investigation about it.

Here I will only add that Nikanor Mishkov’s spiritual twin – Dionysii Mishev – was appointed through external lobbying as head of the St. Alexander Nevsky memorial temple with the same goal. Theft of money. According to various estimates, the restoration and repair work on the temple can reach the sum of 100 million BGN. This is also the reason why powerful businessmen, Freemasons and other hot-headed buffoons with money and influence will focus their attention on the Church and do everything possible for their man to manage the money that will be poured into it.

I know the names of some of them, they still support it, but I’ll spare them for now. I would share them publicly if their pressure on the Synod succeeds and Dionysius remains at St. Alexander Nevsky. This will cause such a scandal in the Church as there has not been since the time of the schism. But this war is more important than all the others because it is a battle against the abomination of desolation that has settled in the holy place and is creeping up on us from there.
