Allocation committee advertises twelve project positions. Online evenings will provide information on November 26th and 28th.

Dresden. A new diocese initiative will be presented at two online events on Tuesday, November 26th and Thursday, November 28th, 2024 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.: This involves the advertisement of a total of twelve project positions, with the help of which the coordination Voluntary work in the parishes should be noticeably strengthened. Anyone interested is cordially invited to take part in the online information evenings.

From August next year to January 2028 – a total of thirty months – the diversity of volunteer work in the diocese of Dresden-Meißen will be promoted with the help of twelve project positions (0.5 FTE). Parishes should be supported in recruiting volunteers and their deployment, existing commitments should be supported and networking on the subject of volunteering should be promoted at various levels. All parishes can apply to the allocation committee for one of the twelve project positions.

The promotion of voluntary commitment was emphasized in the diocese’s strategy process as an important pastoral task for the future.
