Jakarta –
DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Ahmad Riza Patria responds to the examination of the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dino Patti Djalal by the KPK regarding Formula E. He admitted that he did not know about the examination.
“I just heard, what the correlation is with Dino Pati Djalal. I don’t know,” Riza told reporters at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (20/1/2022).
Regarding the examination information, Riza invited him to question the matter to the KPK. He admitted that he did not know this information.
“Please ask later. I do not know at all,” he said.
Previously, Dino Patti Djalal has been asked for information by the Corruption Eradication Commission related to the investigation into the alleged corruption case of Formula E. Dino was asked for information about the process he introduced the Formula E side to DKI Governor Anies Baswedan.
“I was the first party asked by Formula E to introduce to the Governor, to the DKI Government like that,” said Dino when contacted detik.com, Wednesday (19/1).
Dino was also asked by investigators about the request of the Indonesian Diaspora to bridge Formula E with Anies. The meeting is said to have taken place on May 10, 2019.
“So my role was there, the first to introduce Formula E was me. And this is also the story at that time there was an Indonesian Diaspora who worked with Formula E and came to me and he said ‘Maybe Indonesia is not part of Formula E racing globally’,” he said.
“Well, maybe Jakarta is interested, so on that basis, I happened to know Governor Pak Anies, so I introduced them at the Governor’s office on May 10, 2019,” he added.
