Dinkes: DHF Cases in Karawang Reach 278 Cases

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, KARAWANG – The Health Office of Karawang Regency, West Java, stated that cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 are quite high. Case DBD reached 278 cases from the start of the year to the last week of May 2021.

“DHF cases are spread across a number of sub-districts in Karawang,” said Acting Head of the Karawang Health Service Nanik Jodjana in Karawang, Monday (24/5).

He said that out of 30 sub-districts in Karawang, there are a number of sub-districts that are considered prone to the spread of dengue. A number of them are Telukjambe Timur District, West Karawang, East Karawang, Klari District and Cikampek District. For this reason, people are urged to routinely maintain the cleanliness of the home environment, especially water reservoirs.

Because it can become a nest for mosquitoes. He said cases of dengue fever occur because of people’s behavior that does not pay attention to environmental cleanliness.

“Due to these conditions, the community needs to improve a clean and healthy lifestyle,” said Nanik Jodjana.
