Basketball club “TTT Rīga” has agreed on a one-year contract with Latvian women’s basketball team candidate Dinija Pavelson (174cm / 17.09.1998 / Ventspils).

Pāvelsone has spent three seasons in the Latvian Women’s Basketball League, representing “TTT juniors” (2017-2018) and Riga Stradiņš University (2018-2020). Last year, in seven games, he scored 14.3 points on average in 27:39 minutes, won 5.0 rebounds and made 2.7 assists.
Before moving to the capital, Pāvelsone represented BC “Ventspils”, playing in the New Women’s Basketball League for three seasons (2014-2017). At the same time, the guard played in the Latvian Youth Basketball League, but in the 2018 season he trained with the Ventspils girls’ team born in 1999.
Pāvelsone trained in Ventspils with Venta Kārkliņš, in Rīga with Ainārs Čukste and Aivars Vīnbergs. Starting from 2018, he has been studying at Riga Stradins University. The defense has played 80 games in the youth national team and scored 563 points, including playing in the 2017 U19 World Cup in Italy.
The successful debut in the World Championship was followed by one season in “TTT Juniors”. That season, Pavelson participated in 34 games, averaging 10.3 points in 28:30 minutes. The defender added 3.7 rebounds under the baskets and 1.9 assists.
