Xinhua News Agency, Paris, November 11. At the invitation of France, Ding Zhongli, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, attended the 6th Paris Peace Forum from November 10th to 11th and spoke at the “One Planet: Polar Summit”.
Ding Zhongli said that issues such as polar warming and damage to biodiversity have attracted widespread attention. The international community should deepen polar scientific research and strengthen cooperation in polar scientific research, environmental protection, and resource conservation. All parties must build a fair, reasonable and orderly international polar governance system, adhere to the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities, and jointly respond to polar climate change. China will continue to practice the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, work with the international community to respond to the challenges brought about by polar changes, and maintain peace, stability and sustainable development in the polar regions.
Ding Zhongli also attended the Paris Peace Forum’s seminar on global adaptation goals and met with French Deputy Senate President Hervé, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Moucho, and Chairman of the National Assembly’s France-China Friendship Group Alotze and other people.
