Dinamo Bucharest Defeats Skjern Handball 38-34 in Exciting Second Leg Battle

After an impressive first leg, won by Dinamo Bucharest 28:27, the second meeting between the Romanians and Skjern Håndbold promised great excitement. Despite the home advantage, the latter only got into the game slowly; Bucharest had already scored two goals to make it 6-4 (8th).

Even after that, the hosts held the upper hand with Vladimir Cupara strong in the goal and forced the first period after Denmark after a quarter of an hour when the score was 11:8. This was followed by no revolution from Skjern, but an intermediate sprint by the Romans up to 14:8 (21st). Even a straight red card for Robert Militaru could not prevent Dinamo from putting their opponents away until 20:12 before the break.

After the break, the Danes rebelled and conceded goal after goal. In the 44th minute, Xavier Pascual Fuertes called time out when the score was 27:23, Skjern still needed five goals to equalize the deficit in the two games. However, this burden was too high: Joaquim Nazare’s red card further weakened the home team, and Bucharest finally played the final minutes with confidence down to 38:34.
