It’s time for the citizens of Burgas to give way to new energy, to a new team that will provide them with a better life, better infrastructure, better prerequisites for attracting business that will open new and well-paid jobs. If we want accelerated economic development and a better quality of life, then let the citizens of Burgas support me on October 29 with ballot number 73.
This was stated by the candidate for Mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Naydenov. Today he inspected some of the most neglected and broken streets in the “Vazrazhdane” district.
“The decision is in the hands of the people. They have the right every 4 years to go out and elect a better government. In reality, we have not had the opportunity to compare the 16-year administration of Dimitar Nikolov, because since our entry into the EU and having generous European funding, there has been no other management of the municipality“, he explained.
The candidate for mayor also said that if we go back in time, we will remember that during the last year of the administration of Ioan Kostadinov, who was mayor before Dimitar Nikolov, Burgas was in a miserable state. There were broken streets and sidewalks, a dirty city with dirty air.
„After billions absorbed by Dimitar Nikolov, 16 years later we are in a similar situation. This is a failure in the management of the municipality. The situation in many residential complexes and neighborhoods in Burgas is deplorable. What a new administration, led by a new mayor, should take care of is precisely to improve the living conditions of the citizens of Burgas. To provide them with a safe and accessible environment, not sidewalks that mothers with strollers are afraid to walk on. For 16 years now, the current management of the municipality has shown that it is not doing well. In every election we hear promises, but time passes and the problems remain“, he also stated.
According to him, the current practice is to invest funds in quick and spectacular projects, which are glamorously opened with a ribbon cutting, and months later are left in ruins.
“It is necessary to build better quality, to stop feeding some hoops from companies that win almost all public contracts. The current management model has resulted in housing estates lacking maintained infrastructure and good streets. This also leads to additional dust, which we all breathe. Burgas is in the leading position in the country of people with respiratory diseasesNaydenov also said.
