“After this damn pandemic, everything went to hell,” Dimitar Kovachev shared with “Bulgaria Dnes” and added: “Things that cost 50-60 thousand euros are now going for 300-400 thousand! This is idiocy!” The expenses in question, about which the frontman of “Black Ferreze” commented, refer to his company, which has been dealing with music events for many years.
During the COVID pandemic, concerts became impossible and that is why the beloved musician’s business has taken a hit during the last 3 years of quarantine. On top of everything, apart from the long break from work and lack of income, inflation comes out salty for Dimitar to recover.
“Things are much different. It’s not like before, but step by step, we are moving forward with our company. I notice there’s a bit of movement,” commented the bassist. Funky does not give up on the difficult situation and thinks that he is not the only one who is facing these difficulties.
“It is not only for Bulgaria, but also for the whole world. Things have changed a lot. The conditions are different,” shared the artist. The rocker also shared that the state of his country is the cause of the unfavorable situation: “Bulgaria is the Absurdistan country, which is a total tragedy. But there is nothing else to do but fight. We’re cast here, we’re born here,” Funky insisted.
Despite his pessimistic attitude towards his homeland, the musician does not think that abroad is better.
“Everyone thinks that somewhere they are waiting for him with bread and honey. Many people imagine things about England, America, France, wherever in the West. This is a fatal mistake. The bad thing is that when they come back here they find the old picture, they are already outsiders because no one remembers them and accordingly it becomes a tragedy. Nobody wants us anywhere. This is the situation,” concluded the musician.
