Dimensity 9000 Benchmark Beats Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Exynos 2200

Currently there is the most advanced and world-famous flagship chipset, namely MediaTek Dimension 9000, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Samsung Exynos 2200. All chipsets are designed with a 4nm fabrication process.

Initial test results (benchmarks) on the GeekBench test platform (version 5) reveal the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 to be the fastest performance chipset among the three.

This was first revealed by gadget leaker (tipster) Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) in a tweet on Twitter.

The benchmark result of the System-on-Chip (SoC) MediaTek Dimensity 9000 has a score of 1,278 points for single-core performance and 4,410 points for multi-core performance.

For comparison, the GeekBench Exynos 2200 test results scored 1,109 points for single-core performance and 3,534 points for multi-core performance.

Meanwhile, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has a score of 1,231 points for single-core performance and 3,752 points for multi-core performance.

The Dimensity 9000 may be the champion among the top System-on-Chip rows commonly used on Android flagship phones. However, Dimensity 9000 has not been able to surpass the performance of the new Apple A15 Bionic chipset.

The Apple A15 Bionic chipset has a score of about 500 points higher than the Dimensity 9000, with a score of 1,750 points for single-core performance and 4,885 points for multi-core performance as quoted by GSMArena.

Although the benchmark results have been revealed, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 and Samsung Exynos 2200 chipsets are not yet officially available so the actual performance of the Dimensity 9000 and Exynos 2200 might be different from the benchmark results shared by tipster @UniverseIce.

Meanwhile, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC itself has been used in several Android flagship phones, such as the Xiaomi 12 series, Motorola Moto Edge X30, Honor Magic V, and OnePlus 10 Pro.
