On Thursday August 26, from 6.30 p.m., the gardens of the Department of Côte-d’Or will host the sixth edition of the K6FM Showcase. And the stage expected for this year 2021 will be rich, with in particular the presence of eight artists who will be in representation on the occasion of this free event.
Exclusive headliners and new albums
Among the headliners is the Corrèze group Trois Cafés Gourmands, which has had tremendous success in France following the release of its single. To our memories in the summer of 2018. A hit that totals more than 190 million views today on YouTube for this group crowned with a triple platinum record thanks to their first album, An air of nothing. Trois Cafés Gourmands is back with a new album and has scheduled a tour that will see it perform at Le Cèdre, in Chenôve, on November 6.
Another guest at Showcase K6FM, Julie Zenatti will come and play some songs from her album Make the flowers dance again, released at the beginning of the year. Known worldwide for playing the role of Fleur de Lys in the globally successful musical Notre Dame of Paris, the artist is on his sixth album and has hundreds of thousands of sales to his credit.
Nominated for the Victoires de la musique in 2014 in the “revelation album of the year” category, the group Cats on Trees will also be there. Nina Goern and Yohan Hennequin, she on the piano and he on the drums, compose this group revealed the same year by the tube Sirens call. The duo will also take the opportunity to play some extracts from their future album, produced by Liam Howe (Adele, Lane del Rey, Ellie Goulding …) and mixed by Mark “Spike” Stent (Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Muse ..) .), as well as his latest single titled Please Please Please.
Local groups in the spotlight
And of course, the focus will be on local groups. Amélie Ricard and Yuri Q form the group Cala, a Dijon duo mixing cultures and influences, which draws its sounds from electro, rock and pop, and which will perform its first album, The Beginning, released in early 2021.
Oasha is a young group from Dijon made up of three brothers: Oscar, 21, Hector, 18, and Achille, only 15. Cradled by rock, funk and new wave music, the siblings will reveal to the public the first two singles from their first album, Something Fresh, scheduled for release on September 17.
A solo artist, this time, will be on stage in the person of Antonin Véla. The one who sails between Paris and Dijon is notably known for having posted several videos of musical covers on his YouTube channel. Since then he has gone on his own creations and will play 12%, a song as an introduction to an album he plans to release soon and has been working on for two years.
Back to duets with Les Yeux d’Olga. Created in 2017, the Dijon group is in the process of composing their first album, one year after releasing their first EP, Easy land, a work 100% in English. EP of which several pieces will be performed on the occasion of Showcase K6FM.
Finally, the last group on the bill: Godmother Coque. A stage name behind which Fabienne, whose nickname is hidden, and are stage partner, Luc. A doublet that has united with several musician friends, all from the Côte-d’Or, and which offers a mix of pop, rock, folk and electro.
Free admission
Eight artists, beginners or experienced, that you will therefore be able to see or discover in the gardens of the Department, to which admission, free and open, will be from 5 p.m. and only from 23, boulevard de la Trémouille.
Covid period obliges, the wearing of the mask and the presentation of the health pass will be obligatory and a gauge will be set up by the organizers.
