DIJON: Sixth edition of the Open Street Air

The CHKT association is meeting on July 29 and 30 at the Péniche Cancale for the 2022 edition of the Open Street Air.

CHKT is an association bringing together art enthusiasts and more particularly music. Launched in 2015 by a few Dijon residents, the association was born from a common desire of its members to animate the city of Dijon and its surroundings through events with artistic and cultural themes.

Open Street Air is sun, friends, music, quality artists, graffiti and good times! And for this new 2022 edition, the CHKT team sees further and concocts some small novelties:

– Friday July 29: 100% house techno evening with Ketbi and DJ Sub Aru (artists of the association) as well as Saudade straight from Paris and ready to liven up the hold on a set with percussive and jazzy rhythms.

– Saturday, July 30: from 6 p.m., CHKT station sets up, cool, for a little live recap of its best tracks! Then follows THE novelties of the year with the very first battle beatbox by CHKT and the Middle School showcase:

Versus Beatbox Battle, it’s 8 people (preselected on call for projects) who will compete musically, with their mouths as their only instrument! All participants will have to compete in audacity, creativity, technique and musicality to win. All the more so when the juries are great multi-qualified champions…just that! The rounds will follow each other with enthusiasm and conviviality until the champion is elected!

Supernova and Footbox G as a team form Middle School, an energetic and technical duo that will delight the calves and zygomatics. When the old and the new school mix, it gives an explosive showcase, exploring many genres: drum and bass, boom bap, grime, half-time… There will be something for everyone!

Finally, from 11 p.m., Ketbi and Pump (artists of the association) will continue on this hip-hop momentum and will end the evening with wild sets!
