Dijon – Paul Joly after on the form of his team: “I think we are really better”

And Dijon was not very active during the winter transfer window, one of the two recruits who arrived on loan is starting to really make his mark on the Côte d’Or side: it is the full-back Paul Joly ! Used successively on the left and right of the Dijon defense, the young player on loan from Auxerre has started systematically since he became available to the DFCO and has shown a lot of fighting spirit. Asked by France Bleu Bourgogne on Monday, he answered a question about the difficulties of his current club in Ligue 2: At no time did you think: “But what have I come to do in this mess”?

“Never, because I knew the state of the club when I joined, and my motivation to help the team. I never said that to myself, and I never will until the end of the season, that’s for sure. […]. We just realized things. We talked a lot between us after these four defeats. At one point, we were sinking. There were real discussions between us. There were two draws against Metz and Valenciennes which did us good, which gave us confidence. There, the victory increased all that. So I think we’re really better off. »

His future

“Of course, winning at Auxerre is my primary objective. I had a discussion with Christophe Pélissier. He made it clear to me that it was best for me to leave right now, but that he was not closed to a return. That he counted on me to gain experience, and to perfect everything I have to improve. There will be the departure of Zedadka who will return to Lille. So it will be up to me to show that I have the ability to impose myself there […]. We will see what Auxerre offers, and what Dijon offers. So far I have not dwelled on the question. I am doing my six-month loan, I will return to Auxerre, and we will see in the summer transfer window. »
