Traveling to Greece to take on Peristeri in Game 2 of the Basketball Champions League (BCL) play-ins, Gregor Hrovat and Dijonnais had the qualifying ball after regular time and finally lost after extra time (92-88 ). If from the very first minutes the JDA immediately put pressure on their opponents in the first quarter (20-12, 10′), things got tough when the Greeks responded, especially when they were down by 14 points (12-25, 13 ‘). They then beat the French 12-0 and returned to a draw thanks to a 2+1 by Sylvain Francisco (28-28, 16′). Finally, Dijon make the change on the counterattack (37-40, 20’).

Back on the floor, the two teams were still neck and neck. Dijon could have made the difference but it was the Greeks led by Sylvain Francisco (18 points and 8 assists) who made the difference and in the end they won despite the performances of Markis McDuffie (20 points, 8 rebounds), Gregor Hrovat (18 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists) or even Robin Ducoté with his 21 points on 8/11 shooting. With this defeat JDA Dijon will once again have to cross swords with the Greeks at home next Wednesday and need to win to qualify for the Top 16 of the BCL.
