DIJON: Le Darcy invites film lovers from June 16

The Darcy cinema reopens “as before” from this Wednesday June 16, offering films selected at the last Cannes film festival.

It is not the big traffic jam of films as mentioned when the dates of the progressive deconfinement were announced but it is already much more than a thrill.

The third stage saw most cinemas welcoming audiences on June 9. This was the case for Olympia but not for Darcy, belonging to the same Dijon family group, Darcy Palace.

Cannes 2020 on the big screen

A good start and the arrival in particular of the films screened at Cannes in 2020 allow the Darcy to reopen on Wednesday June 16, 2021 to find moviegoers. “It is the opportune moment”, one indicates to the communication of the cinemas Olympia and Darcy.

The comedy “Les 2 Alfred” by Bruno Podalydès, the thriller “Doctor of the night” by Élie Wajeman, the western “Nomadland” by Chloé Zhao should contribute to a return to normalcy.

65% gauge until June 30

The Darcy is reopening “as before”, with staff who migrated to Olympia also back. The sanitary facilities resuming those of the summer of 2020 with a gauge of 65% until June 30, date from which the cinemas will be able to refuel again.

OSS 117 and Kaamelott in the pipes

To date, programming is carried out week after week due to lack of visibility on the availability of copies due to negotiations with distributors. In particular, the Dijon group hopes to be able to offer the action film “OSS 117: Red alert in black Africa” ​​by Nicolas Bedos in the two cinemas, Olympia and Darcy.

Apart from the films mentioned at Darcy, the Olympia will also host major releases with “Fisherman’s Friends”, “Black Widow” or “Peter Rabbit 2: Panic in the city” on July 7 and, on July 14, which will be without doubts the first blockbuster of the summer “Fast & Furious 9”. This while waiting for “Kaamelott: First part” that the production announced for national release for July 21.
