Dijon. Cracked building: why Ekimae Cafe still hasn’t reopened

L’ Ekimae Cafe has been able to reopen since June 28. This Japanese-inspired bar, located at the corner of Guillaume-Tell and Thurot streets in Dijon, finds itself in a delicate situation due to structural problems affecting the building.

At the beginning of summer, the building he lives on the ground floor had been evacuated by firefighters who feared they would collapse (read elsewhere). In the process, the City of Dijon issued a municipal ordinance prohibiting entry and possession of the building until further notice. The residents had to be moved. The Japanese cafe had no choice but to close without knowing when it would be able to welcome customers again.
