Dijon concedes the draw (1-1) on its lawn against Strasbourg

Against Strasbourg, Dijon conceded a new draw, its ninth of the season. Enough, however, to temporarily get out of relegation places.

And that’s all. This Sunday, January 24, the DFCO hosted the Racing Club Strasbourg Alsace on the lawn of Gaston-Gérard. At the end of the 90 minutes, the two teams shared the points.

First led after the opening of the scoring by Ludovic Ajorque (51e), the Dijonnais quickly returned to the game on a set piece. On a corner, it was defender Senou Coulibaly who equalized (63e).

After this draw, the Dijonnais temporarily climb to eighteenth place in the standings, synonymous with a play-off at the end of the season. David Linares’ players still have one game more than the Lorient, last three lengths from the DFCO.

Upon their arrival at the stadium in the early afternoon, the Dijon players were warmly welcomed by their supporters, chanting songs and waving smoke. Members of the Lingon’s Boys in particular were present.

The other results

In the race to maintain, the two main opponents of the Dijonnais did not play. A week after the postponement of the match between Lorient and DFCO due to cases of covids among the Merlus, the match between Nîmes and Lorient was, in turn, postponed.

Also this afternoon, the people of Nantes (17e) bowed on the lawn of Metz (2-0). They therefore see the Dijon, who are one game behind, approaching three lengths.

Reims for its part beat Brest (1-0) and Bordeaux took the best from Angers (2-1).
