Dijon Celebrates Record Participation in 9th Inter-Organization Blood Donation Challenge

A record mobilization for this 9th edition with 122 teams registered…

This Wednesday, Dijon celebrated a new record of solidarity with the holding of the 9th inter-organization challenge for blood donation. No fewer than 122 teams, representing businesses, associations, sports clubs and groups of friends, gathered to participate in this now iconic event.
For five weeks, these teams mobilized to donate their blood, plasma or platelets, with the aim of accumulating as many donations as possible and winning the solidarity trophy. Their commitment allowed the French Blood Establishment (EFS) to welcome 1,482 participants, including 332 for a first donation, and to collect 1,083 bags to meet the needs of patients. These impressive figures bear witness to the generosity and unfailing mobilization of the inhabitants of Dijon.

The Dijon Métropole – Ville – CCAS team distinguished itself once again by winning the challenge, mobilizing the greatest number of donors, all categories combined. This victory demonstrates the continued commitment of the city and its partners to solidarity and public health.

The closing ceremony, which was held this Wednesday, March 6, was an opportunity to honor the teams that shone in the eight categories involved. Among them, the team of medical students (CEMD) was praised for having brought together the most new plasma donors, while the Exco Socodec team was rewarded for having mobilized the greatest number of new blood donors, alongside the Serial Donneurs (CESID).
This exceptional day also made it possible to highlight the involvement of each team in raising awareness and mobilizing the community. Remarkable communication actions were carried out by several teams, such as the Rocard Group – Le Pôle RH and Sang Contrefaçon (Crossject), who were honored for their creativity and commitment.

Finally, the EFS would like to congratulate and warmly thank all the participating teams, who contributed to making this edition of the inter-organization challenge a real success. Their dedication and solidarity helped save lives and strengthen social ties within the Dijon community.
