The escape game which opened in autumn 2019 in Dijon is inspired by the world of TV series. While he had created an ephemeral room for children at the end of 2020, it is now a room that will be dedicated to them on the theme of the teenage witch Sabrina Spellman and which will open in June. The reopening of L’Épisode is announced on June 9.

What is an escape game?
The escape game is a full-size escape game, ideal for spending a friendly and original moment with friends, family or colleagues. Locked in a room immersed in a special and mysterious atmosphere, participants have one hour to escape by solving a series of puzzles, searching for hidden objects or even unlocking padlocks. The pieces and the puzzles are linked to a universe, a theme or an event (escape from prison, bank robbery, search for treasure, etc.). To successfully escape, participants must use their sense of observation, their capacities for reflection and deduction, and teamwork. Clues can be transmitted to them during the game to facilitate their progress.
Our concept
L’Épisode is an escape game that opened in autumn 2019 in Dijon. Its particularity lies in the fact that the rooms and the puzzles are inspired by the universe of different TV series.
We thus wish to allow everyone to become the main actor of a TV series. Each room has a different series as its theme, corresponding to an episode. The participants are welcomed on a film set and their immersion is total since they participate in a casting to integrate the cast. Soundtracks, lighting, accessories, everything is done to immerse them in the universe of the proposed TV series. In order to make the adventure more thrilling, the puzzles are varied and most of the traditional padlocks have given way to original mechanisms.
Our new children’s room – Sabrina and the Book of the Beast
Since the opening of L’Épisode, many parents have shared with us their desire to share a fun and original moment with their children. To meet their demand, we have devised a new concept to offer an activity suitable for the youngest. This is how an ephemeral room was created in October 2020. Faced with the enthusiasm it aroused, we decided to invest in renovating part of our premises during confinement to have a place dedicated to children permanently.
We now offer an initiation for children to help them discover the world of escape games. The puzzles are adapted to their age and a game master is permanently present with them in the room to guide them. A game lasts 15 minutes. This first children’s room has a witchcraft theme and is inspired by the series dedicated to Sabrina Spellman, the teenage witch. Treats reward the young participants. The Sabrina and the Book of the Beast room will be available until the end of November, then a new room will be created as the December school holidays approach on a new theme.
The room will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays as well as every day during school holidays. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Reopening of L’Épisode on June 9
After more than 7 months of closure, the escape games will be able to reopen their doors on June 9. The Episode is happily preparing to reunite with its players after a difficult year. The Covid-19 crisis has had a major impact on the leisure and entertainment sector.
