About 300 delegates from the National Federation of Agrifood and Forestry (FNAF-CGT) took over, by surprise, this Thursday morning, the courtyard of the Chocolaterie de Bourgogne, rue de Cluj in Dijon, to hold their congress (which takes place every four years). A symbolic action, three months after the final closure of the site. “The liquidation of the Chocolaterie de Bourgogne not only broke employment (net loss of 70 jobs, Editor’s note), and resulted in the loss of an important industrial tool”, explains Gaëtan Mazin, employee representative at the FNAF-CGT . “We came from all over France to protest against this closure, but also to recall our main national demand: industrial reconquest. Too many factories in France are being closed, we cannot let this happen. “

A motion will be filed in Dijon town hall
“We occupy the chocolate factory to request the relaunch of the activity, alert and allow negotiations”, specifies Anita Binacchi, retiree and member of the national management of the FNAF-CGT. She worked as a machinist at the Chocolaterie de Bourgogne for forty years (until 2010) and was CGT delegate at that time. “Our goal for the site is to find a buyer in the food industry. We are going to bring a motion to Dijon town hall to find solutions. “
As a reminder, in February, the Dijon commercial court placed the Chocolaterie de Bourgogne in receivership, following major cash flow problems within the company, owned by the Spanish group Lacasa. The latter then had one month to find a possible buyer. But no one showed up, and on March 4, the company was placed into receivership with continued operations until March 19. A brutal end for a company that has been one of the jewels of the agrifood industry in Côte-d’Or.
